About Me

Hi, I'm Mark Fredericksen, N.D.  I've been in private family practice for twenty years.  In that time I have practiced medicine for body, mind, and spirit, taught classes, and walked with many through various chronic health problems like cancer, autoimmune diseases, addictions, and depression.

I believe the key to health is finding a harmonic balance for the body's natural life rhythms.  Treat the cause; remove obstacles, supply necessary fundamentals, and balance the body, mind, and soul.  As a naturopathic physician, I received a conventional science-based education with hours of study in life sciences and natural approaches to health – like nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, and physical medicine. I am licensed in the state of Washington as a primary care physician and have a solid understanding of “both sides” of medicine —from pharmaceutical drugs to soundly proven natural care and traditional folk medicine.

I have a M.Div from St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri.  I have pastored a couple churches in a former career.  But, I felt seriously drawn to work aimed at helping others find a more integrated holistic walk through life.  I've found naturopathic medicine supplies a wealth of resources to bring all parts of a person together -- often for the first time in their life.

I work with people, not lab values. I use strong listening skills to understand your symptoms and to truly hear your health worries/goals.  I'll then help you evaluate those against long-standing naturopathic protocols. One of the beauties of natural medicine is there are a bountiful number of ways to look at any health problem.  Since, we are complicated individuals, with intertwined spiritual, emotional/mental, and physical needs, shouldn't a medical perspective be capable of addressing all those spheres of your life?  I look forward to serving you, as well as offering you fresh perspectives through which to view your health.
